The Game
Vivid™ Memories Recovery Test is a memorization game, If you don't have a good memories feel free to use a note or anything else in that matter.
Please note that this game is still very much unpolished overall & a lot of part was rushed to fit the timeline of the jam including The Main Menu and The Ending.
These are thing that are planned but removed entirely due to time constraint.
- Fully voiced the AI.(if you wanna volunteer for it, you can contact me on discord).
- More endings.
- Better looking AI.
- An actual good looking menu that doesn't look like it was made less than 10 seconds.
I will try my best to implement these in the future . . .
CONTROLS
This only applied to the "end" part of the game,
the first part of the game is just a simple -LMB- to interact.
-WASD to move.
-SHIFT to sprint.
-Mouse to look around.
My Experienced with The Jam
(You don't need to read past this if you just wanna play the game)
The theme for this gamejam was MEMORIES .
I tried my best to come up with game idea that I actually able to do as I just started very recently. Luckily it's is very simple theme so I've come up with these simple quiz game about memorizing stuff. I tried making a The Watson-Scott Test styled game and somehow still failed.
Noticed the emphasis on simple there, turns out it takes me about a day to create a dialogue system.
The limitation for this gamejam was that it Start & End with different genre,This gave me a headache as it's essentially means creating 2 different game.
Originally I was going to made it into a 2D Platformer as that's the only thing that I can do at the moment, but I quickly realized that it has been overdone to death a million time already. Luckily(again) I can just drag & drop fps controller and add some cryptic & absract looking level, Walking simulator done.
I was stressed out at the fact there isn't much time left and I've only done about halfway through the plan. As a results, a lot of thing we're rushed, at this point I don't even care that no one will play the game. I'm already too Impressed at the fact that I even somehow managed to finish this project at all.
That's was my first experience with a game jam, I learned a lot of things mainly-
Time management &
TO KEEP THE GAME SIMPLE
ThE gaME jAm WaS oNLY 72 hOUrS what do YoU thought YOU'rE gonNa make? A fRicKINg TRiPlE A Game WIth 10 hOUrS OF oVerArCHiNg StORY OF SOMethiNG?
*cough.. . , ignore that.
The Ending
If you already played the game, you're probably confused by the ending . that's because with the 5 minute length game that I made, there's a whole novel worth of story.
If you've already played my my previous game you know that I made more emphasize to the story to cover up the lack of gameplay. . .
That being said feel free to game theory your way out to my discord at ヨル#8524
P.S I din't have time to playtest it so it is very likely there's big obvious bug that I forgot to fix, on the offchance that someone actually playing this game, please report it immediately, oh and also. . .
THANK YOU FOR PLAYING. . .
Crosscore
oof , this is a long page for such a short and unpolished game. . .

Hello, LordofNope,
I really enjoyed the video, I find it really impressive how you've managed to make this mess of a game into something interesting to watch.
You weren't supposed to repeat the test, that is definitely a bug. I apologized if you have to sit through that twice. . .
That said,
Thanks for playing the game and giving feedback, I really appreciated it :) .
